ATLANTA—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) expanded its EVEN Hotel brand bicoastally with openings in Sarasota, Fla. and Eugene, Ore. The EVEN Hotel Sarasota marks the first Florida location for the brand, with a second property slated to open summer 2018 in Miami. In addition to the Eugene property, a second West Coast location will open in April—a dual-branded EVEN Hotel and Staybridge Suites in Seattle.
The EVEN Hotel Sarasota–Lakewood Ranch is located just off I-75 near miles of beaches. Owned by Zieg Hospitality, the 128-room hotel has 4 suites along with 2,566 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is located near shopping venues, restaurants, arts and cultural attractions, Siesta Key Beach, and is just eight miles from the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.
On the West Coast, EVEN Hotel Eugene is located near the city’s downtown, one mile from the Autzen Stadium, north of the University of Oregon. The 100-room and two-suite property, owned by VIP Hospitality Group, offers 1,061 square feet of meeting space and a heated indoor pool.
“The expansion of the EVEN Hotels brand to the West Coast and Southeast is a testament to the brand’s momentum and confidence from our owners,” Jason Moskal, vice president of lifestyle brands, The Americas, IHG, says. “These new properties further demonstrate how the EVEN Hotels brand provides an innovative guest experience that wellness-minded business travelers are looking for. We look forward to additional key openings and signings in 2018.”
EVEN Hotel properties have natural elements of wood and living plants to create a welcoming and revitalizing space. The hotels’ design and technology is meant to help guests maintain balance while traveling. The brand also has a personalized service culture where team members champion wellness and empower guests to maintain their personal wellness while on the road.
EVEN Hotels is expanding with eight hotels now open in New York City, Rockville, Md.; Norwalk, Conn.; Omaha, Neb.; Eugene, Ore., and Sarasota, Fla. Several hotels in the pipeline include a dual-branded property in Seattle, as well as properties in Miami and Pittsburgh.
