Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Cancun to Open in 2017

ORLANDO—Hard Rock International has announced plans for Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Cancun. The upcoming all-inclusive resort will be situated along the shores of the Caribbean Sea, a 15-minute drive from the Cancun International Airport. Set to open in late 2017, the oceanfront property will be the third Yucatan Peninsula property in the Hard Rock International portfolio and will feature 1,800 oceanfront guestrooms.

“We are excited to welcome our fifth property in Mexico and build upon our collaboration with All Inclusive Collection,” said Marco Roca, EVP chief development officer of Hotels at Hard Rock International. “Boasting an exotic backdrop, superb climate, and unrivaled amenities, including a beach-front lagoon pool, Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Cancun will offer the ultimate resort experience, tempting travelers to never leave.”

Plans call for six world-class restaurants, ranging from French-inspired cuisine to authentic Mexican, five bars and lounges, and multiple entertainment venues throughout the property. The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Cancun includes plans for an 8-million gallon, multi-acre, lagoon-style swimming pool. The property will offer a variety of excursions, such as snorkeling and kayaking. Additionally, the property will also feature more than 90,000 square feet of meeting and event space, ideal for elegant banquets, themed parties, weddings, concerts and more. Family-oriented experiences include a kids club, a private teen zone, and designated family pool areas. Adults can check out the nightclub, private pools with outdoor terraces, and numerous entertainment offerings.

“We are happy to continue the successful partnership with Hard Rock Hotels, and look forward to offering guests of all ages an all-access pass to luxury, relaxation, and entertainment in one of the world’s leading leisure destinations,” said Frank Maduro, vice president of marketing at All Inclusive Collection.

Additionally, guests will find Hard Rock brand-wide amenities, such as a Rock Spa, and a Rock Shop featuring the brand’s merchandise. Music-infused offerings, such as The Sound of Your Stay amenity program, will also be provided. Active guests can choose from an array of all-inclusive amenities, including a Hard Rock golf course, a fully equipped Body Rock fitness center, and sporting games.
