OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill.—Kyle DeSantis, president of Drury Lane, a hotel located in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., announced that the facility has completed Phase 1 of its extensive renovation. Phase 2 will be completed by mid-2014. Phase 1 included the renovation of the 27,000 square foot grand ballroom, the main lobby and cocktail lounge, and the French and English rooms. The inviting new spaces feature a sophisticated European design aesthetic with top-of-the-line furnishings, original artwork and elegant décor. Phase 2 will include the renovation of the Courtyard Restaurant and the Theatre Bar.
The renovated spaces were created by designer Shannon Leoni. The grand ballroom was updated with blue and cream-colored walls, custom paisley carpeting, and new furnishings. The ballroom accommodates up to 1,800 guests. The hotel’s French room renovation features new silver-leafed Chinoiserie wallpaper, Louis XVI-inspired dining chairs, new wall sconces, and four new crystal chandeliers. The main lobby was updated with a new color palette, four 12-foot Swarovski chandeliers, crown molding, and marble accents.
The Courtyard Restaurant and Theatre Bar are undergoing renovations as part of the plans for Phase 2. The Courtyard Restaurant will feature a similar design aesthetic as the lobby space. The decor in the new Theatre Bar will feature brown hues and marble and crystal accents.
