Canopy by Hilton Opens First Property in Cannes

CANNES, France—Canopy by Hilton Cannes has opened its doors with interiors designed by Ramy Fischer and a swimming pool that flows from indoors to outdoors. This opening marks Hilton’s entry into the city and is the latest addition to the portfolio of Canopy by Hilton properties across Europe.

Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president, EMEA, Hilton, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with Nouvelle Vague Hospitality to bring Canopy by Hilton’s elevated, boutique hotel experience to Cannes’ most desirable neighborhood.”

Matt Schuyler, chief brand officer, Hilton, said, “Celebrating the best of the city, the opening of Canopy by Hilton Cannes is an exciting milestone for both the brand and Hilton. Embodying the spirit of the French Riviera, the property’s design, exquisite dining and bespoke amenities are a testament to the Canopy by Hilton brand.”

Jean-François Chapel, general manager, Canopy by Hilton Cannes, said, “We are delighted to open one of the first lifestyle hotels in Cannes, with breath-taking rooftop views over the French Riviera, authentic food and drink offers, and a locally-inspired experience that will help guests connect to the neighborhood.”

Canopy by Hilton Cannes has 129 guestrooms and suites, along with a further 12 apartments. In collaboration with a jury of art experts and private collectors across the world, the hotel has invited twelve young artists to create artwork for each room. The artwork is complemented by Canopy by Hilton’s canopy bed frame, bedding created for the brand, and amenities like Canopy socks and Nespresso machines.

Canopy by Hilton Cannes has an indoor-outdoor heated swimming pool and a fitness center. Opening soon, the hotel will offer a spa, including five cabins, a hammam, a Japanese bath, and sauna.
