Employees at Hyatt’s corporate offices, located in downtown Chicago, are going to have 60 more names and faces to remember in the near future. According to this report from eNews Park Forest, Hyatt and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announced that the company will relocate more than 60 Information Technology (IT) positions from a suburban location to downtown Chicago.
The positions will range from application support to development, and add to the burgeoning technology sector in the city.
“By increasing the number of IT positions in Chicago, Hyatt continues to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation,” said Mayor Emanuel, in a statement. “With its headquarters in Chicago, this move reinforces the company’s commitment to building and growing careers in a city that is known for its strength in information technology and E-Commerce, two critical areas of growth as our economy evolves.”
Hyatt President and CEO Mark Hoplamazian added, “By bringing this technology team together under one roof, we are furthering an even more creative, collaborative environment that will continue to enhance Chicago’s reputation as a growing force in the information technology space.”
