Two Roads Hospitality Expands into Puerto Rico

DENVER, Colo.—Two Roads Hospitality, a newly-created international lifestyle company featuring an unrivaled collection of truly individual hotels, resorts, and vacation residences, has assumed management of Royal Isabela, a world-class golf resort, as part of its Destination Hotels collection. Situated on 2,000 acres of oceanfront land in northwest Puerto Rico, the family-owned property originally launched in 2012 and features beautifully-designed, luxury Casitas and privately-owned residences, along with a renowned 18-hole golf course. Perched dramatically on cliffs along the ocean, Royal Isabela also offers multiple pools, tennis, hiking, and biking trails, water sports, a croquet lawn, fitness center, and two miles of pristine beach.

“Royal Isabela is the first Destination property located in the Caribbean, a key market for our brand’s expansion,” says Jamie Sabatier, CEO of Two Roads Hospitality. “Costa Isabela Partners’ vision of creating a luxury, sustainable community in Puerto Rico fits squarely within our diverse collection of hotels and residences, and we look forward to showcasing our continued commitment to offering one-of-a-kind resorts that are genuinely true to place through the integration of this property.”

Steeped in natural beauty and located among a backdrop of dramatic cliffs, lush landscapes, caves, and tide pools, Royal Isabela offers guests the amenities of a luxury resort coupled with the intimacy of a boutique property. Each of the 20, 1,500-square-foot luxury Casitas features a design concept influenced by Old Puerto Rico, and has a private terrace, heated plunge pool, and stunning ocean vistas. Also located on-property is Royal Isabela’s River Farm and Gatehouse Garden, an organic farm and nursery with more than 20,000 native trees and plants, reinforcing the owners’ dedication to conservation, preservation and sustainability.

The Restaurant at La Casa, the signature dining concept at Royal Isabela, is helmed by award-winning Executive Chef José Carles Fabregas with consultation from James Beard Award-winning chef David Pasternack, owner of New York’s Esca, and John Sergi of Sergi Hospitality & Culinary Strategy. Fusing traditional Puerto Rican ingredients with classic European cooking techniques, Chef Fabregas sources homegrown organic produce from the on-site farm and nursery.

Set amongst a picturesque and pristine Caribbean setting, Royal Isabela provides a range of customizable meeting and event offerings, ideal for both milestone social events and business meetings. Venue options include an ocean-view event lawn that is perfect for both destination wedding ceremonies and receptions, and intimate business retreats.

Located 90 minutes from San Juan International Airport and 20 minutes from Aguadilla International Airport, Royal Isabela is owned by brothers, Stanley and Charles Pasarell, and Edwin Perez, all Puerto Rico natives.
