STAMFORD, Conn.—Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. has announced its second Element hotel in the Miami metropolitan area. The new Element is expected to open in July 2015 as part of a dual-hotel development, joining Aloft Miami Doral, which opened in March 2013. Owned by Eurocon LLC, Element Miami Doral will offer 139 stylish, sustainable rooms.
“We are delighted to break ground on Element Miami Doral, the second Starwood property in this ideally located dual-hotel development, close to Miami’s best shopping, world-famous beaches, and nightlife,” said Brian McGuinness, senior vice president of specialty select brands for Starwood. “The Element brand offers guests a bright, energizing environment that’s conducive to both work and play, and we expect this hotel will be well received by visitors to greater Miami.”
Element Miami Doral will boast light-filled studios as well as one bedroom suites featuring a fluid design of modular furniture, swiveling flat-screen TVs, large desks with open shelving, and custom-designed closets. Rooms will also offer fully equipped kitchens. Other brand signatures will include a 24-hour fitness center, an outdoor saline swimming pool, and a 1,500-square-foot meeting room. Guests can stay on the move with the Element brand’s bikes to borrow program and enjoy fun and free extras including complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, breakfast, evening reception, and salon bar carts stocked with premium wines and beers, soft drinks, and snacks, available after hours.
“The Element brand is cropping up in markets across North America, fueled by the enthusiasm of travelers and developers who share the brand’s passion for clean, sustainable living,” said Allison Reid, senior vice president of North America development, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. “With everything guests need for a life in balance, Element Miami Doral will provide an entirely fresh perspective on the extended-stay experience.”
