VAIL, Colo.—Vail’s newest food and cocktail destination will debut inside the Four Seasons Resort & Residences Vail. Offering an energetic, casual hang out for locals and visitors to unwind, socialize, and imbibe, The Remedy’s bar program will serve up concoctions, elixirs, and a twist on classic cocktails reflective of the bar’s namesake. A seasonally-inspired culinary concept will pay homage to its Colorado roots promising mountain casual fare focusing on an array of artisanal flatbreads, small bites, shareable dishes, and crudo, highlighting locally-foraged produce, Colorado meats, and cheeses. Following an extensive $2.5 million renovation, The Remedy’s grand opening is set for July 6, 2015.
The Remedy’s beverage program will showcase reimagined, pre-prohibition classics while also pushing the boundaries of the craft cocktail. The menu will feature a variety of curated “concoctions and potions,” including custom drinks, signature “Remedy Elixirs,” and a selection of seasonal taps featuring both Colorado craft beer and house-made cocktails. A range of high quality, small-production bottled beers will also be available along with a wine list, including a diverse selection of sommelier by-the-glass options. A whiskey collection will be a highlight of the bar’s year-round beverage selection with cocktails enhanced by a new custom ice program. An Après Whiskey Cart will also be introduced as a focal point of The Remedy’s bar program; the “Doctor of Drinks” will provide a new service to patrons – tableside cocktails made-to-order.
A redesign will transform the resort’s existing lobby bar into an entirely new space featuring three distinct areas offering multiple lounging and dining options. A large, custom-designed, zinc square bar will act as the centerpiece of The Remedy, with a backdrop of floor-to-ceiling windows displaying mountain views, while the renewed patio is complete with inviting furniture and large, custom fire pits.
The Remedy’s décor will feature eclectic, custom-made furnishings and light fixtures throughout. A mix of textiles and tones will enhance the surrounding architecture, combining diverse materials such as white marble with walnut wood and saddle leather, highlighted by industrial metal accents.
Additional lounge areas throughout the new space will allow for private parties and events to gather, accommodating small or large groups, and offering various adjustable arrangements from communal dining tables and high tops to casual sofas. A large fire pit with 360 degree seating in the center bar area will be another spot for guests to relax over cocktails. A 165” TV will adorn a side of the west lounge area, and local musicians and DJs will perform all year long.
“We’re excited to introduce the new cocktail lounge to locals and guests alike,” said Mark Herron, general manager for Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail.
