Sbe Opens SLS Brickell

MIAMI, Fla.—Sbe, the Los Angeles-based leading lifestyle hospitality company that develops, manages and operates award-winning hospitality venues, announced the opening of SLS Brickell, its second SLS Miami hotel. The stunning property marks sbe’s first hotel and residence project in partnership with Related Group. The formidable talents of sbe Founder and CEO, Sam Nazarian, The Related Group founder and Chairman Jorge Perez, Arquitectonica co-founding Principal Bernardo Fort-Brescia and designer Philippe Starck, have joined together to present a property poised to become a Miami landmark hotel, set in the heart of the city’s rapidly transforming Brickell neighborhood.

“sbe is proud to unveil our first SLS Hotel & Residences with Related and look forward to the addition of sister property, SLS LUX Brickell and expanding our South Florida portfolio further together with Hyde Midtown and Hyde Beach House,” said Nazarian. “SLS has created a new paradigm in the luxury hotel experience that resonates with a global audience. We already offer the ultimate South Beach experience with SLS South Beach and are now bringing our unique brand downtown. SLS Brickell epitomizes what we stand for; an uncompromising, yet modern approach to luxury, infused with playfulness, spirit, creativity and world-class cuisine and design.”

The prominent Arquitectonica designed, 55-story tower takes its cue from the lively movement of Brickell with a faceted bas relief pattern aiming to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. The project encompasses 124 striking Philippe Starck-appointed SLS hotel rooms and suites and 450 SLS-branded condo residences. Boasting an enviable position on South Miami Avenue, SLS Brickell is just steps from Downtown Miami and the Miami Design District, as well as an array of world-class shopping, fine dining and entertainment options. Spanning an impressive acre of amenities, SLS Brickell is a true urban oasis that will cater to business guests, leisure travelers and Miami locals alike. Infused with art, the property offers a sensory feast, from the arresting vision of Markus Linnenbrink’s mural to the striking lobby sculpture by Bernardi Roig.
