Las Vegas may be an adult playground where almost everything goes, but one nightclub, located in the Palazzo has pushed the limits of Las Vegas Sands Corporation, owners of the casino property.
According to this Associated Press report from WJLA.com, Las Vegas Sands is attempting to end its 10-year lease agreement with The Act nightclub after just 10 months after the club opened.
The Palazzo claims that the club is violating obscenity laws with its allegedly raunchy and lewd shows. The club is being accused of simulating sex acts on stage and throwing condoms into the crowd.
On April 26, Sands executives notified club officials that they’d crossed a line with the show and were no longer welcome in the $15 million space. However, Sean Dunn, special events director at The Act told the Associated Press that casino officials were “well aware of our brand.”
The Act remains open while a district judge decides on its fate. More over on WJLA.com.
