New Sheraton Zurich Hotel Opens in Switzerland

ZURICH—Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide announced the opening of the new Sheraton Zurich Hotel, marking the brand’s second hotel in the financial capital of Switzerland. The property is owned by ZUFA Immobilien AG and opening under an agreement between Starwood and Arabella Hospitality SE.

“I would like to thank our longtime partner, Schörghuber Corporate Group, for once again putting their trust in Starwood as we introduce the new Sheraton Zurich Hotel,” commented Michael Wale, president, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Europe, Africa, and Middle East. “The opening of Sheraton Zurich allows us to meet the growing demand for internationally-branded hotel accommodations in the city while offering a new gathering place for the local community and global travelers.”

The hotel’s lobby lounge features a fireplace and complimentary wireless internet access with the Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft.

Sheraton Zurich comprises 197 guestrooms, including 32 suites, all equipped with the signature all-white Sheraton Sweet Sleepe Bed.

Situated on the 10th floor, the Sheraton Club Lounge serves breakfast, refreshments, and light snacks all day, evening drinks and hors d’oeuvres, alongside views over the city from the 10th floor. Guests staying in the Sheraton Club rooms will enjoy complimentary wireless internet access in the room as well as in the Club Lounge.

Sheraton Zurich offers more than 600 square meters of modern meeting and event space, including eight multifunctional meeting and event rooms and a pre-function area. The hotel’s fitness facilities feature the brand’s revolutionary health and fitness programme Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance, designed exclusively for Sheraton guests.

On the ground floor, the Swiss grill restaurant, Route twenty-six, offers a dining concept that showcases the best from the 26 Swiss cantons, freshly prepared from the open show kitchen. The hotel also offers an Italian café and bar, Nuovo, featuring take-away and dine-in meals throughout the day, as well as after-work drinks.
