NEW YORK—JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group was recognized with two awards at ALIS 2024. Americas CEO Kevin Davis was awarded the Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the Year award, which recognizes a dealmaker with skills in fostering and establishing relationships to close transactions that result in mutual benefits for both parties.
Davis said, “This is a team award and I thank my colleagues both past and present for their contributions to our collective success in 2023. Together, we share an unwavering passion for serving our clients and delivering outstanding results.”
The $835 million sale of The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, received The Transaction of the Year Award for deals over $25 million. The sale of the 1,000-room Diplomat was the third-largest single-asset hotel sale in the United States.
“The Diplomat sale was a remarkable achievement especially in a year that saw its fair share of challenges from a capital markets perspective,” added Davis. “Hotel fundamentals continue to be strong, and we anticipate transaction volume to accelerate in 2024 as interest rates decline and investor optimism surges.”
