IHG Signs Third Holiday Inn in South Korea

SINGAPORE—IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) announced the signing of Holiday Inn Incheon Songdo, in partnership with OK Center Development Co. Ltd, jointly held by Incheon Development & Tourism Corporation (City of Incheon affiliate) along with TWG Group USA LLC.

Scheduled to open in mid-2014, the hotel will mark the entrance of the Holiday Inn brand into Incheon Songdo—South Korea’s first free economic zone—and its third Holiday Inn property in South Korea following Holiday Inn Seongbuk and Holiday Inn Gwangju.

The 202-room property spans 16,000 square meters and 12 stories. The property offers an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge bar, a multi-purpose ballroom, as well as meeting and function facilities alongside business and fitness centers.

“There is a growing demand here for high-quality hotel accommodation at great value and we are pleased to have found the right partner in OK Center Development Co. Ltd to increase our presence through one of our most celebrated brands,” said Jan Smits, chief executive officer, IHG Asia, Middle East and Africa.
