ATLANTA—InterContinental Hotels Group today announced the 200th hotel opening for its Staybridge Suite brand. The opening of the 102-room Staybridge Suites Denver-Stapleton hotel expands the brand’s Denver, Colo., portfolio to five properties and creates 30 new jobs in the community.
“We’re very pleased to welcome the Staybridge Suites Denver-Stapleton into IHG’s swiftly growing portfolio of upscale extended-stay hotels, and we are excited to celebrate this milestone 200th opening with valued owner Gary Tharaldson and his team at Tharaldson Hospitality Management,” said Robert Radomski, vice president, brand management, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites. “The Staybridge Suites brand continues to demonstrate accelerated growth as a result of increased demand for the brand’s modern design and excellent service, as well as benefit from the overall strength of the extended-stay segment.”
The Staybridge Suites Denver-Stapleton hotel is owned by Gary Tharaldson and managed by Tharaldson Hospitality Management, and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG. The new all-suite hotel is located a short drive from downtown Denver, directly across the street from The Shops at Northfield Stapleton, which offer many shopping and dining venues for guest entertainment. In addition, the hotel is near the National Western Complex, a 600,000-square-foot event facility that can accommodate groups from 50 to 10,000 people, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, home of the Colorado Rapids Soccer Team and Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies. The University of Colorado Hospital and Buckley Air Force Base are also both located nearby.
“We are proud to add yet another Staybridge Suites hotel to our portfolio with the opening of the Staybridge Suites Denver-Stapleton and look forward to offering those traveling to Denver for extended periods a new, comfortable hotel option,” Tharaldson said. “The upscale product and guest service that Staybridge Suites hotels are known for, backed by the strength of IHG, makes the brand a valuable part of our growing portfolio.”
