Hostmark Hospitality Group has named as chief executive officer, in addition to his current role as president of the company.
As CEO, Mr. Cataldo’s responsibilities will expand to encompass the guidance and growth of Hostmark’s property operations and asset management, along with his current duties directing the expansion of strategic business relationships and identifying acquisition and management contract opportunities for the company and its investment partners.
Jerome has held multiple executive positions with the independent hospitality management company, starting in 1983 with leadership of the information systems division and then providing operational oversight for a group of hotels managed by Hostmark. He took the helm as executive vice president of development in 1997, and the firm has since established an international reputation, managing hotels and resorts throughout the United States, as well as in three countries abroad.

Recognized as an industry leader, Jerome Cataldo has been a speaker at major hospitality conferences and industry events and has been a recurring lecturer at Roosevelt University’s Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. He also serves on the Strategic Planning Council for DePaul University’s School of Hospitality Leadership, the Midwest Lodging Summit Advisory Board, Kendall College Les Roches School of Hospitality Management Advisory Board and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau.
