Hilton Worldwide Signs Istanbul’s Largest Hotel & Conference Center

ISTANBUL—Hilton Worldwide announced the signing of a management agreement with IC Bomonti Uluslararasi Kongre Turizm Yatirimlari Ticaret A.Ş to open an upper upscale Hilton hotel and conference center in Istanbul’s Sisli district.

This latest Turkish hotel signing adds to the significant momentum achieved by Hilton Worldwide in Istanbul, which now features six hotels across four brands, including the Hilton Istanbul which opened its doors in 1955 and the Conrad Istanbul which is currently undergoing an extensive programme of refurbishment.

“We are delighted to have signed a management agreement to open a landmark new Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in Istanbul,” said Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe & Africa, Hilton Worldwide, in an announcement. “Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center is set to be the largest hotel under development in the city by number of rooms and size of meeting space, providing Istanbul with a world-class conference facility which we expect will attract new international conference business to the city. Our pipeline in Turkey goes from strength to strength, with 41 hotels either trading or under development, and this latest announcement is testament to Hilton Worldwide’s strong presence in a country we have been proudly operating in since 1955.”

The hotel and conference center will be located in a newly built tower, spanning 35 floors. Featuring 829 bedrooms and suites, the hotel includes an executive lounge, spa and fitness facilities, and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Hospitality designer, GA Design of London, will be charged with providing and delivering the vision and design of the hotel’s interior.
