NEW YORK—Hampshire Hotels Management announces the launch of Début Hotel Group, a hotel brand management company led by newly appointed President and CEO Eric A. Danziger. Driving the company into its next chapter of growth, Début Hotel Group will bring to market five different tiers of lifestyle brands with a dozen new hotels slated to open in the next year.
Since Danziger’s arrival, Hampshire has evolved from an owner-operator model to a full-fledged hotel brand and management company, with Début Hotel Group as the cornerstone of the lifestyle portfolio. Leveraging the company’s current portfolio, the group will oversee the development and launch of two new lifestyle hotel brands, Augustus Hotels and Unscripted Hotels, as well as the global expansion of Dream Hotels and the repositioning of Time Hotels and Night Hotels.
“Début is about wanting to create a lifestyle product in every market segment for every level of consumer,” Danziger said. “I believe every traveler should have the right to stay in a cool, fun, dynamic place.”
Début Hotel Group unveils five new options for the growing lifestyle segment, including:
Augustus Hotels: Named after the great Roman Emperor, Augustus Hotels is positioned at the top of the brand portfolio as the group’s only five-star, luxury brand with an emphasis on personalized service and quality. Inspired by the Thierry Despont-designed Chatwal hotel in New York, Augustus will marry past with present, while maintaining a metropolitan character. Target locations include New York, London, Paris, and Rome.
Time Hotels: In 1999, Hampshire Hotels opened The Time hotel in Times Square, New York. As part of the company’s multi-tiered strategy, Début will transform The Time into an upper-upscale brand named Time Hotels that caters to a clientele looking for progressively designed spaces and forward-thinking dining options in centrally located gateway cities. Designed by Rockwell Group, the Time brand offers travelers an urbane lifestyle product with a refined edge.
Dream Hotels: Representing the four-star, upper-upscale lifestyle segment, Dream Hotels was created for global travelers who crave exceptional service and built-in nightlife as part of their stay. Founded in 2004, the brand now includes five locations in New York, Miami, Bangkok, Thailand, and Cochin, India. Dream Hotels will soon add Chicago, Dallas, Hollywood, Washington, D.C., and Long Island City to its portfolio. With these new openings, the brand will more than double its portfolio in North America over the next 24 months. “This robust growth pipeline continues to underscore the success of Dream Hotels as a brand and its popularity among cosmopolitan travelers,” Danziger added.
Unscripted Hotels: Appealing to the upper-midscale to upscale market, the Unscripted brand is design forward and accessibly priced. It focuses on healthful yet lively environments and responsible food choices alongside destination lounges, state-of-the-art fitness centers, and skin-friendly bath amenities. Guestroom features will include color therapy, advanced lighting, supportive mattresses, and a sleep-to-wake system that uses light to simulate dawn.
Night Hotels: For the limited-service, upper-midscale lifestyle space, the group is repositioning its Night brand to be a design-focused, non-traditional, convertible room product that transitions from day to night. It’s casual yet chic, with a focus on primary and secondary market locations.
