It’s not everyday that we get a chance to post a gallery of adorable dogs. But since the newly renovated Affinia Manhattan is playing host to some of Westminster’s top pooches, it gives us the opportunity to show off a fun, pet-friendly way that the Manhattan hotel is marketing to the canine crowd.
From Feb. 10-12, the hotel has transformed one of its terrace suites into a complimentary VIPaws Suite, where dogs are able to maintain a fitness regimen. The suite includes an outdoor play area, treadmills provided by DogTread, a manufacturer of motorized pet treadmills and supplies; upscale pet retailer Jax & Bones chew toys; and an assortment of YaffBars, the world’s first energy bar that both dogs and owners can enjoy. Four-legged guests were also able to enjoy a Wags & Wines reception on Feb. 9, in the hotel lobby.
The hotel’s VIPaws Pet program is available year round. Booking the package includes: The use of an oversized pet bed from Jax & Bones; pet food and water bowls; rope toys for both dogs and cats; convenient waste bag dispensers for leashes; and City Walks maps outlining perfect destinations for owners and pets to stroll. Additionally, when guests reserve Affinia Manhattan’s VIPaws Pet program, a $10 donation will be made to the Humane Society of New York.
From the photos, it looks like both the dogs and the owners were enjoying Affinia’s amenities.
