Dual-Branded Hilton Opens in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Hilton Worldwide has announced its newest hotel, the dual-branded Hampton Inn by Hilton Washington, D.C. NoMa Union Station and Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington, D.C. NoMa Union Station. Offering 239 new rooms, the dual-brand hotel is ideally located in the revitalized NoMa neighborhood and continues the brand’s robust expansion in urban markets.

“Washington, D.C. is one of the nation’s top leisure destinations and attracts business travelers including those in the government and corporate sector,” said Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide. “Having a dual Hampton by Hilton and Homewood Suites property in this market presents a prime opportunity to offer two diverse brands with comfortable amenities and value our travelers have come to expect.”

Managed by Baywood Hotels out of Greenbelt, M.D., Hampton Inn by Hilton and Homewood Suites by Hilton Washington, D.C. NoMa Union Station complements the city’s steady growth in leisure and business travel, reaching a record high of more than 20 million visitors in 2014.

Located at 501 New York Avenue NE, the dual-brand property will be the newest hotels in NoMa, and are situated within walking distance to the Metro’s Red Line at NoMa-Gallaudet U station, offering guests convenient access to the U.S. Capitol Building, Library of Congress and many more of Washington, D.C.’s most popular attractions.

The dual-brand concept creates enhanced and larger communal areas than what would be standard at a stand-alone property, benefitting both business and leisure travelers. Guests at each property have access to the fitness center and heated indoor pool with whirlpool. Guests can also enjoy the breathtaking city views from the rooftop observatory. The hotel has two distinct lobbies offering two separate check-in desks and lodging/dining areas—each catering to the needs of their respective guests.

The Hampton hotel will provide guests a fresh start to each day with On the House hot breakfast which includes eggs, oatmeal, and waffles. In addition, Hampton’s On the Run Breakfast Bags are provided Monday through Friday. Other standard brand amenities include free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing. Each guestroom includes the brand’s signature Clean and fresh Hampton bed®, HDTV, microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker.

Homewood Suites by Hilton offers a combination of studio and one-bedroom extended stay lodging in D.C., featuring fully-equipped kitchens, and separate living and sleeping areas.
