CoStar: U.S. Hotel Performance Continues to Show Mixed Results, Follows Seasonal Patterns

WASHINGTON—Continuing seasonal patterns, U.S. hotel performance showed mixed results from the previous week, according to CoStar’s latest data through September 9, 2023.

Occupancy: 60.3 percent (down 1.9 percent)
ADR: $150.66 (up 1.8 percent)
RevPAR: $90.86 (down 0.1 percent)

Among the Top 25 Markets, Denver saw the largest year-over-year increases in each of the key performance metrics: occupancy (up 8.0 percent to 76.3 percent), ADR (up 12.5 percent to $163.16), and RevPAR (up 21.4 percent to $124.56).

Helped by the U.S. Open and New York Fashion Week, New York City posted the second-highest jumps in ADR (up 11.5 percent to $348.39) and RevPAR (up 15.1 percent to $308.83).

St. Louis saw the steepest RevPAR decline (down 19.8 percent to $60.02).
