AHLA Executive Committee Welcomes Jolyon Bulley

WASHINGTON—The American Hotel & Lodging Association announced that Jolyon Bulley, CEO—Americas, IHG Hotels & Resorts, has been appointed to its executive committee.

“Jolyon is a proven hospitality leader and lifelong hotelier,” said AHLA President and CEO Chip Rogers. “The wealth of management, global, and operations expertise he brings to the table will be a tremendous asset for our executive committee and AHLA’s more than 30,000 members.”

At IHG, Jolyon is responsible for the management, growth, and profitability of the Americas region, and the development and defining of a strategy for its Luxury & Lifestyle brands globally. Jolyon has held a number of roles including CEO for Greater China for more than five years.

Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for the Americas from 2014 to 2017, leading the region’s operations for franchised and managed hotels, in addition to cultivating franchisee relationships and overseeing hotel operating performance. Jolyon also served in the same position for Greater China for almost four years, with oversight of the region’s hotel portfolio and brand performance, new hotel openings, and owner relations. Jolyon joined IHG in 2001 as director of operations, New South Wales in Australia, and then held roles of increasing responsibility across IHG’s Asia-Pacific region.

“I’m honored to be able to serve on AHLA’s executive committee alongside hotel industry leaders,” said Bulley. “AHLA has been setting the standard for hotel advocacy, communications, and member service for years, and I’m excited to help them continue elevating our industry to new heights.”
