Aloft Hotels Makes Debut in Dalian, China

DALIAN, China—Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide announced the debut of its Aloft brand in Dalian, the financial center and leading port city of northeast China. Owned by Dalian Yifang Group Co., Aloft Dalian is the sixth Aloft hotel to open in China, featuring 314 guestrooms, an urban design aesthetic, live music performances, and an active social scene.

“Aloft is ideally positioned to meet the needs of the next generation of traveler and is experiencing phenomenal demand in markets worldwide,” said Charlie Dang, regional vice president of operations for Greater China for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. “As China’s tourism market continues to evolve and grow, Chinese travelers are becoming more style-conscious, as well as more digitally and socially connected. They seek not only a room, but also an experience that caters to their lifestyle. With the opening of Aloft Dalian, we are further expanding our ability to meet the demands of this rapidly expanding market segment.”

The spacious guestrooms at Aloft Dalian feature expansive windows and all of Aloft’s signature amenities such as oversized walk-in showers and Bliss Spa products. Each room also combines high-tech office and entertainment equipment with complimentary wireless internet access and plug and play, a one-stop connectivity solution for multiple electronic gadgetry all linked to a 42” LED TV.

Aloft Dalian provides a number of spaces for guests to mix and mingle, read, work on laptops, or simply relax including the Re:mix lounge, the signature W XYZ bar and Re:fuel by Aloft, a one-stop, 24-hour grab and go food and beverage area. Nook, the hotel’s signature all-day dining restaurant, serves up international dishes as well as renowned local seafood dishes. The restaurant also offers a private dining room for up to 10 guests, making it an ideal choice for special occasions or important business meals. Additional facilities include more than 1,000 square meters of meeting space, including a grand ballroom of 500 square meters and five tactic meeting rooms in a range of sizes. Additional amenities include the Re:charge fitness center and Splash, the indoor swimming pool.
