The battle between Airbnb and its hometown of San Francisco continues. A coalition, including AH&LA, ShareBetterSF, local tenants and apartment owners, launched an ad campaign calling out Airbnb for suing San Francisco and failing to obey local laws as the proliferation of illegal commercial operators fostered by the platform continues to grow. One ad says, “Dear Airbnb, You told us not to spend your tax payments ‘all in one place’ but now you’re making us spend taxpayer money on defending your frivolous lawsuit?
