SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.—Appointed by Davidson Hotels & Resorts, General Manager Carmen Cruz is overseeing the multi-million dollar renovation of Hotel Zephyr Fisherman’s Wharf, currently the site of the Radisson Fisherman’s Wharf, located at 250 Beach Street. This hotel will feature re-imagined upscale accommodations and engaging community spaces.
Born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, Cruz’s multicultural background has aided her hotelier career of more than two decades. Her experience includes European luxury, 5-star, 5-diamond, and boutique hotels, in addition to small luxury properties and hotels with up to 2,000 rooms.
Cruz has experience in hotel openings and transitions. Under her leadership, her properties consistently receive high guest satisfaction scores, even during renovations. She increased service ratings by 15 percent at the Hilton San Francisco and managed the opening of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront from groundbreaking to grand opening.
Cruz aims to build a culture focused on exceptional service and providing an authentic San Francisco experience for the guests of Hotel Zephyr. As one of the only waterfront hotels in the area, guestrooms offer direct views of the San Francisco Bay and elegant cityscapes. Hotel Zephyr will provide communal gathering areas featuring classic games with unique twists, social activities, and laid-back lounging alongside fire pits. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf, near the city’s cable cars, Ghirardelli Square, and Alcatraz.
