Aspen, Colo. – Kimpton’s Sky Hotel in Aspen is thrilled to welcome food and beverage expert Briana Von Ohlen as the new general manager of 39 Degrees Lounge. With 13 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Von Ohlen is qualified to take 39 Degrees to the next level, bringing to the role a history with the Lounge, and familiarity with the Aspen food and cocktail scene. She has been with 39 Degrees since 2009 when she started as a bartender, and most recently she was the lounge manager. As general manager, Von Ohlen will be in charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of 39 Degrees.
“The Sky Hotel is undergoing a transformation of sorts, with an expanding team and a recent renovation to 39 Degrees Lounge,” said Sky Hotel General Manager Corey Enloe. “We have been looking for the right person to continue to elevate the experience at 39 Degrees, and Von Ohlen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to do just that.”
Von Ohlen began her food and beverage career more than 10 years ago as a bartender. Prior to 39 Degrees, she worked at The Molly Gibson Lodge in Aspen, as their reservations manager. She also is a First Level Sommelier, and has a proven track record of customer service, creativity and problem solving.
“I am thrilled to continue working with 39 Degrees Lounge as the new general manager,” said Von Ohlen. “I love the creativity and fast paced environment of the industry, and experimenting with an infinite number of possibilities in the realm of cocktails and food.”
