Study Finds Racial Discrimination by Airbnb Hosts

    A working paper from Harvard Business School has found that Airbnb renters with names that sounded African American had a harder time booking reservations than those with white-sounding names, says Bloomberg Business. Airbnb says it does not support discrimination, citing a zero-tolerance policy for it on its platform. However, the same researchers found in 2014 that there is also racial discrimination against hosts, as non-black renters could charge 12 percent more on average. To read more, click here.
