A New Community: The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia

The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, Georgia, brings a luxury hospitality component to the newly developed mixed-use community Avalon, located in suburban Metro Atlanta. The property, which is directly adjacent to the newly built Alpharetta Conference Center, has more than 44,000 square feet of conference and meeting space, including a second-story pool terrace that transforms for daytime and nighttime banquet events, two ballrooms, an executive boardroom, and intimate venues to accommodate smaller meetings and gatherings.

The Hotel at Avalon’s décor in both the public areas and guestrooms is dominated by gray, cream, and yellow shades to create a peaceful yet stylish atmosphere. The property has an in-house fitness center and is also partnered with a nearby spa so that guests can more easily self-pamper. Its on-site restaurant, South City Kitchen Avalon, adds a diverse culinary concept to the Avalon community’s many dining options.

The Hotel at Avalon is a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and is the culmination of a public-private partnership between Stormont Hospitality Group, Long Wharf Capital, North American Properties, and the City of Alpharetta. The project had additional assistance from the Development Authority of Fulton County and the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Hotel at Avalon was designed by teams from Cooper Carry, Perkins + Will, and The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry.

The 330-room Hotel at Avalon opened in January 2018 and is owned by Stormont Hospitality Group, Long Wharf Capital, North American Properties, & the City of Alpharetta.
