Luxury Lodgings Where the Chicago River Meets Lake Michigan

Gencom and GD Holdings recently acquired the newly constructed St. Regis Chicago, developed by Chicago-based Magellan Development Group. Occupying the first 11 floors of three interconnected towers that are part of the Lakeshore East mixed-use development, the hotel is well positioned to attract leisure travelers, families, and group business. The guestroom inventory includes multi-bedroom suites with residential amenities designed to accommodate extended family travel, and the Chicago Children’s Museum is only a mile away. The hotel’s nearly 12,000 sq. ft. of function space includes the 5,000-sq.-ft. Astor ballroom and 7,000 sq. ft. of executive meeting rooms with panoramic views of Chicago landmarks including the Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, and Grant and Millennium Parks. Amenities at the 5-star property include the St. Regis Spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center featuring yoga and group exercise rooms with river and lake views, a rooftop terrace, and an indoor swimming pool. The St. Regis Chicago will also offer five unique dining venues, two of which are being led and managed by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Chicago’s acclaimed and largest restaurant company. The first restaurant, Miru, located on the 11th floor, is a Japanese concept offering an all-day dining experience from Lettuce Entertain You Chef Hisanobu Osaka as well as Netflix’s School of Chocolate winner, Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez. The second restaurant, Tre Dita, will be a Tuscan steakhouse created in collaboration with award-winning, Los Angeles-based Chef Evan Funke. Tre Dita opens in the fall of this year.
