LHS Rebrands Three Wyndhams to Magnuson

Magnuson Hotels has announced the complete rebranding of three hotels from Pensacola, Fla. All formerly franchised by Wyndham, the hotels have rebranded as the Magnuson Inn Pensacola, Magnuson Hotel Pensacola, and M-Star Pensacola. The hotels will upgrade their market position via an affiliation with Magnuson Hotels’ global portfolio of nearly 2,000 hotels. The hotels are part of the LHS portfolio, owned by prominent Asian American hotel owners Jay and Nash Patel.

Jay Patel is a leading expert in the hospitality franchise industry and is the author of Franchising is it Fair and How to Negotiate an Equitable Franchised Agreement. He has been an active member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) and co-founded the National Association Of Black Hotel Owners, Operator and Developers (NABHOOD).

Nash Patel is a former chairman of AAHOA. During his tenure as chairman, Nash focused on helping improve franchisee/franchisor relations as well as hotel industry environmental and social responsibilities.

“The conversion to the Magnuson hotel brands was a no nonsense and yet seamless transition, without the hassle of constant franchisor dictates and demands prior to opening,” stated Nash Patel. “Also the cost of conversion including signage was very affordable.”

“We were attracted to Magnuson’s affordable fee structure, low cost of conversion, and added revenue manager service,” added Jay Patel. “The Magnuson brands have already helped stabilize sales tremendously.”
