FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—Hilton Worldwide announced that it has signed definitive agreements with CFLB Partnership to open and operate a 290-room Conrad Hotels and Resorts branded residence and resort in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Currently undergoing a more than $34 million renovation and property enhancements, the 24-story oceanfront Conrad Fort Lauderdale has an anticipated opening in 2015.
“We are extremely pleased to be introducing the Conrad brand’s uniquely intuitive service and personalized experiences to Fort Lauderdale. This exciting project reflects the brand’s intent to have a world-class presence in gateway cities and the most sought-after resort destinations,” said John T. A. Vanderslice, global head, luxury and lifestyle brands, Hilton Worldwide. “Conrad Fort Lauderdale will represent a destination for a new generation of global luxury travelers for whom life, business and pleasure seamlessly intersect.”
New upgrades at the property will include a fitness center, Conrad spa, an exclusive oceanfront dining experience, beach concierge, elevated pool deck with a swimming pool, poolside restaurant and bar, and a gourmet market.
Originally designed by architect Michael Graves, the property is being updated with new architectural and design features by the architectural firm Garcia Stromberg in collaboration with interior design firm Edge of Architecture. Upgrades include a magnificent porte cochere entrance with 24-hour valet service, an enhanced lobby experienced and a striking new glass-encased meeting and banquet area connecting the resort property’s two towers three stories above ground level.
Conrad Fort Lauderdale will also offer the mobile Conrad Concierge app, which gives travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether it’s pre-selecting bath amenities or checking-in while in-transit from the airport, guests can access a variety of features at any of the 23 Conrad hotels worldwide by using the app.
