First Hotel in 50 Years Coming to Lake Minnetonka

WAYZATA, Minn.–Hay Creek Hotels, a full service management company, announced plans for The Hotel Landing, slated to be the first hotel on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota in more than 50 years. The boutique hotel will open its doors in Wayzata in June 2017. The Hotel Landing is locally owned by BohLand Hotel Group, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, and designed by The Cuningham Group.

The hotel will have 92 luxury rooms and suites and 31 residential condominiums. Two-thirds of the rooms on the west side of the hotel will offer views of Lake Minnetonka, and the others will overlook a plaza garden. The Hotel Landing will provide guests with smart-device check in, room access, room service, and in-room entertainment through The Hotel Landing app.

The hotel’s largest rooms will be the luxury and presidential suites. The 1,100-square-foot presidential suite will feature a living room with seating for ten, a double-sided fireplace, bar, wine storage, and a fourth-floor balcony.

The property will also include a Nordic-style spa, full-service fitness area, 4,200 square feet of upscale meeting and banquet facilities, and 17,000 square feet of retail space. A two-story restaurant called “ninetwentyfive” will provide seating for 285 people, outdoor seating, a private dining room, space for live music, and a contemporary bar. Space will be available for weddings, with bridal suites, a banquet event center, and a green space called The Great Lawn.
