Fast-Growing Upscale Brand Arrives in the Motor City

Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown | Detroit, Michigan

The third Cambria property open in Michigan and the 67th nationally, Choice Hotels International’s new Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown is one of the brand’s several recent openings in city-center locations. Situated in the business district, the property is near riverfront restaurants, the Detroit Opera House, Ford Field, Comerica Park, Little Caesar’s Arena, and the Huntington Place Convention Center, as well as Wayne State University and the University of Detroit. A prime example of the adaptive reuse of a historic building, the Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown is housed in the Walker-Roehrig Building, which opened in 1936.

Accordingly, the design and décor reflect Detroit’s prolific Art Deco period. Guestrooms features include abundant lighting, plush premium bedding, and spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors. Meeting groups have more than 18,000 square feet of function space at their disposal, including multipurpose indoor and outdoor spaces such as the Beve Detroit lobby bar and Cielo Detroit Rooftop Bar for special events. Other F&B venues include Cibo Detroit Restaurant, featuring Mediterranean-inspired dishes; Detroit Taco, open 24/7; and a self-serve lobby marketplace. Active guests can take advantage of the onsite Five Iron Golf and state-of-the-art fitness center.
