In the Family Travel Study, released by Expedia, American parents discuss their feelings on of traveling with family.
The study reveals that 94 percent of American parents who have traveled with children take at least one trip with family per year. And while 76 percent of U.S. parents say traveling with kids is more play than work, it is still all about the children, as 89 percent say it is more important for their children to have fun on vacation than themselves. This could be linked to the fact that 70 percent of parents agreed that their favorite childhood memories involve a family vacation.
The study also found that beaches are the most popular family destination (23 percent), with theme parks and outdoor experiences such as camping or visiting a national park following closely behind.
