CHICAGO—DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago–Magnificent Mile has launched the first Five Feet to Fitness rooms as a way for guests to exercise in the privacy of their room with more than 11 different pieces of equipment. These rooms are part of a $35 million hotel transformation that includes renovating guestrooms, the lobby arrival experience, the hotel’s meeting space, and its rooftop pool and terrace, in addition to the launch of a new lobby bar and restaurant, HotHouse, as well as the grab-and-go Made Market.

The transformed guestrooms will have a blue and grey color palette and wood furniture, contrasting against white amenity centers. While in-room artwork pays tribute to Chicago’s architectural masterpieces, guests can experience Chicago from new built-in upholstered window seats.

For wellness enthusiasts looking for a convenient way to work out when on-the-road, guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago–Magnificent Mile can book Five Feet to Fitness rooms. These rooms offer eleven different types of fitness equipment and accessory options in-room, including an indoor bike and a Gym Rax functional training station that delivers strength, core, and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) style workouts to guests via a digital kiosk.

The property also updated its 16,000 square feet of meeting space and increased its internet bandwidth. The LaSalle Ballroom can seat up to 300 guests, with a foyer for a cocktail reception or exhibit space. Guests looking for a larger, open-flow gala or conference can combine LaSalle Ballroom with the State Room to span over 9,000 square feet and hold 500 guests. Event attendees can easily access the LaSalle Ballroom through the grand spiral staircase that connects the lobby to the ballroom foyer. The renovated rooftop pool deck offers an outdoor venue with views of the city.
