NEW YORK—The Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown East has unveiled a multimillion dollar renovation that includes updates to the hotel’s lobby, food and beverage offerings and guest rooms.
Leo A Daly designers created a relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel that features pops of art and color to bring the culture of New York’s Midtown East neighborhoods indoors. Renovations on the first floor of the include an updated lobby featuring a customized front desk surrounded by unique artwork, including a mural that highlights the neighborhoods of Midtown East. A floral wall depicting aerial views is also a highlight in the lobby.
While walking through the corridor to the elevators, visitors will see framed photographs depicting works of art that can be seen throughout the neighborhoods in Manhattan. Vacationers with a sweet tooth, or those in need of a snack, will love The Market, a 24-hour shop on the first floor that offers various sundries and drinks.The 12th floor was also transformed during the renovation, adding The Bistro—Eat. Drink. Connect. and upgrading the lounge area.
For guests with business needs, the lounge area provides complimentary high-speed, wireless Internet access and a library enabling easy computer and printer availability. Media pods were also added and feature plenty of power outlets and flat-screen TVs with personal remote controls.
The 14th floor is where the guest rooms start, and each remodeled room averages 340 square feet to 425 square feet, so visitors have plenty of space. All rooms offer thick mattresses topped with crisp linens, custom comforters, and fluffy pillows.
