DALLAS—Interior design firm Wilson Associates is making its mark on Oxford, Mississippi, with the design of the Chancellor’s House Hotel, expected to open in Summer 2016.
Nestled in downtown Oxford on the corner of South Lamar Boulevard and University Avenue, the boutique hotel will be the first luxury hotel near the University of Mississippi. The design pays homage to the traditions and values of the university.
The entire hotel features a classic Southern style. The lobby space sets the tone of the property with a warm fireplace, comfortable furniture, and a barrel-vaulted ceiling. Subtle nods to Ole Miss can be found in accessories and artwork, though the design inventively blends old and new elements together.
The Chancellor’s House hotel boasts 31 guestrooms and suites, a ballroom for hosting weddings and corporate meetings, a library, and one specialty restaurant representative of a classic grillroom in New York City.
