At today’s Airbnb Open conference, the home-sharing service has announced that hosts can now get a “Business Travel Ready” badge for their listings to entice business travelers. Such locations will have Wi-Fi, a designated workspace, an iron and hair dryer, and a cancellation policy where hosts cannot cancel less than seven days before a guest’s stay.
Airbnb also unveiled the Host Assist feature for enhanced key management. The company will send virtual keys to guests and allow hosts to “hide” physical keys in lock boxes.
In addition, Airbnb has introduced smart pricing to assist guests with pricing a listing accurately. In doing so, the idea is that hosts will earn more by lowering prices to improve filling rates.
