A 130-room AC Hotels by Marriott is slated to open in Cincinnati, Ohio, in fall 2015. It will be a key part of a planned $350 million major retail, residential, and office project named Liberty Center in northern Butler County. Columbus, Ohio-based Steiner + Associates is developing the 64-acre Liberty Center project with Chicago-based Bucksbaum Retail Properties. According to this article in Cincinnati.com, the Liberty Center project development began in 2007, but lagged until 2010, when it was revived after the recession and collapse of the real estate market. Steiner + Associates is working with Raymond Management Company to open the 80,000-square-foot hotel, which is expected to begin construction in June.
