Charlestowne Hotels to Manage The Bristol Hotel

CHARLESTON, S.C.—Charlestowne Hotels, a full-service hospitality management company, announces they will oversee the operations and management of The Bristol Hotel, a boutique hotel property opening in downtown Bristol, Va. Expanding the company’s robust portfolio of independent hotels and resorts, franchised properties and condo-hotels around the country, the eight-story, 65-room Bristol Hotel is currently under construction with an anticipated late summer 2017 opening. Charlestowne Hotels was appointed by developer McCall Capital due to their tailored, property-specific style of branding and management.

Steeped in history, the development of The Bristol Hotel will repurpose downtown Bristol’s notable Executive Plaza, which dates back to 1925, revitalizing the city center as a new destination point with direct access to the city’s most prominent landmarks and activities. Upholding the building’s historic value, the construction will preserve the original stucco exterior, display windows, and main façade, which features nine window bays with concrete sills and soldier course lintels. The hotel will include 56 guest rooms, seven junior suites, and one executive suite, as well as a top floor penthouse measuring 1,200 square feet with views of downtown Bristol and the scenic Appalachian Mountains, and is strategically located adjacent to the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate. Additional features include the region’s only hotel rooftop bar offering amazing views of both the city and the nearby mountains. A farm-to-table restaurant on the first floor will serve sophisticated Southern cuisine with fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Additionally, the hotel will offer up to 3,000 square feet of meeting space, the most distinct of which includes a 2,800 square foot former arcade available for dinners, weddings and other events. For those looking to recharge, spa services will be offered for ultimate relaxation.

The Charlestowne Hotels team will further support the launch and development of the property through day-to-day operational controls and hands-on management with a focus on increasing revenue, enhancing guest satisfaction and maintaining precise financial reporting. Bringing a wide-range of experience in the pre-opening stage for similar independent property partners, the Charlestowne Hotels team will place substantial efforts on the generation of a customized, holistic marketing approach for The Bristol Hotel, ensuring that every output will create and support a marketable brand for the new hotel, making it a recognizable accommodation choice for travelers.
