DALLAS—G6 Hospitality announced the opening of its 1,400th Motel 6 property in Crowley, La. The opening marks the 55-year-old brand’s strong growth in Q1 2017, during which it opened 34 new franchised properties in North America.
“Closing a strong first quarter was necessary to continue the expansion across all brands,” said Robert Palleschi, Chief Development Officer of G6 Hospitality. “Our expansion strategy is anchored in maintaining solid franchisee relationships and building new ones as we introduce our portfolio of brands to new markets. We are making headwinds in both domestic and international markets, and are looking forward to a very successful year ahead.”
Most of G6 Hospitality’s Q1 openings in the U.S. and Canada are converted properties. All the room designs offer functional and space-efficient areas with modern décor—including wood-effect flooring, platform beds, and flat screen TVs—to provide comfort for budget-conscious travelers.
G6 Hospitality now owns, operates, and franchises more than 1,400 economy lodging locations under the Motel 6 and the extended stay Studio 6 brands in the U.S and Canada, and continues to grow in the Latin American hospitality market with its Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 brands.
