Following Accident, Airbnb Liability Questioned

    Airbnb and other short-term online rental marketplaces are facing new scrutiny when it comes to customer safety. This comes after details surrounding the death of man at an Airbnb property came to light last weekend. Up until now Airbnb and other sharing economy startups haven’t involved themselves in cases such as these in order to avoid setting legal precedents and implicitly taking responsibility.
