Tribute Portfolio Announces Coral Gables Property

BETHESDA, Md.—Tribute Portfolio, part of Marriott International, Inc., has announced its entrance on “Miracle Mile” in Coral Gables, Fla. with Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel. The 157-room property is debuting an $18 million renovation, offering guests the opportunity to “Stay Independent” in a new take on the elegance of Coral Gables.

“Fresh from its meticulous redesign, Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables is a true representation of the Tribute Portfolio brand thanks to its one-of-a-kind amenities, such as the quirky Game Room, and stylish new design that taps into the history of charming Coral Gables,” said Lori Strasberg, vice president of Global Brand Management for Tribute Portfolio. “We’re thrilled to work alongside Pivot Hotels & Resorts, the lifestyle and luxury division of Davidson Hotels & Resorts, in bringing a little bit of indie to the local area.”

Newly imagined by Dawson Design Associates, from the glamorous event venues to the sleek and modern guest rooms, each space features aesthetic inspired by the local destination. Adding to the classic beauty of the design, the existing vaulted ceilings and grand staircase in the lobby are now centered under a dramatic stained glass ‘rosary’ style window and oversized Murano glass
chandeliers. The intimate Aragon Café welcomes guests each morning with offerings inspired by Miami’s international culture and made with the freshest ingredients sourced from local partners.
The newly introduced lobby bar invites guests and locals alike to taste the evening’s signature
cocktail or enjoy a bite from the new small plates menu. All 157 guest rooms now feature warm wood floors and contemporary stainless steel pedestal beds, complemented by sleek sectional sofas and bronze, smoked glass desks. Guests can enjoy a number of indie-inspired touches, including the C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries bath amenities.

Guests can enjoy a number of hotel features, including a landscaped rooftop terrace and adjacent pool with panoramic views of downtown Coral Gables. Seasonal events include rooftop yoga with meditation and tea ceremonies, Aqua Cycle classes and a variety of other offerings that incorporate the local community and business. Designed to bring out the “kid at heart” in everyone, the Game
Room boasts a number of activities, such as billiards, tabletop shuffleboard, and video games, and serves as a hub for both visitors and locals, featuring experiences such as liquor tastings and craft demonstrations.
