JW Marriott Dallas Arts District | Dallas, Texas

The first JW Marriott hotel in Dallas is situated in a cultural enclave that includes institutions such as the Dallas Museum of Art, Crow Museum of Asian Art, Moody Performance Hall, and the Winspear Opera House. Fittingly, JW Marriott Dallas Arts District is themed after the arts, featuring more than 20 original, commissioned pieces for its public areas. HKS Inc. and Looney Associates collaborated on the architecture and interior design of the hotel, which offers three restaurants, two lobby spaces, and over 20,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. A notable function space is the Pearl Room, an all-white room with hardwood flooring that can be customized to suit a group’s needs. The Pearl Room is the first Blank Canvas room, a new group venue from the JW Marriott brand. The hotel also affords panoramic views from both its pool area and 11th-floor sky lobby, which is designed to evoke sheet music, harp strings, and the chandeliers in the Winspear Opera House. On the dining front, the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District is home to Margaret’s, a ranch-to-table restaurant that honors the memory of Dallas arts supporter Margaret McDermott; Vincent’s Sky Bar, alluding to Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night; and 800 North, a street-level cocktail lounge named after the hotel’s address, 800 North Harwood Street.
