DALLAS—McKinney Hotel Developers has chosen national general contracting firm Hyphen Construction Group to build the new Dream Dallas Hotel. The $45 million dollar project will create an upscale dining and entertainment venue in Dallas’s Uptown district with 128 hotel rooms, restaurants, and meeting rooms. Hyphen Construction is scheduled to break ground on the project this summer and the hotel will open December 2015.
Hyphen Construction Group will be involved in all phases of the Dream Dallas project including architecture, design, purchasing, and construction.
“The Hyphen Construction team has worked with some of the most successful hospitality groups in the world,” said Dinesh Chandiramani, CEO of Hyphen Construction. “We know how to turn bold visions into stunning reality. Our team will leverage that experience to build a Dream Hotel in the heart of Uptown Dallas that will rival those in New York, Dubai, and Las Vegas.”
The Dallas location will feature a ground-level restaurant, as well as a lofted pool deck with adjacent lounge overlooking the city skyline. Guestrooms will feature the signature Dream bed in an environment that melds New York loft sensibilities with an injection of elements that are uniquely Texas.
“Dream Hotels have a history of success because we only work with the best, like legendary Strategic/Tao Group, Serafina Restaurant Group, Addison Hospitality and celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian,” said Brendan McNamara SVP of brand development and design at Hampshire Hotels. “Hyphen Construction Group has earned a reputation that puts them into same elite status for construction companies. They share our passion for perfection and have proven that they have expertise to turn the Dream concept into reality.”
