Hotel Paradox Joins Autograph Collection

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.—Hotel Paradox, with its urban forest design that celebrates the nature, mountains, and redwoods surrounding Santa Cruz, is now a part of Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s distinctive portfolio of independent properties. The Autograph Collection Hotels brand celebrates properties that embrace their locale through refined design, thoughtful amenities, and stand-out service.

Located in the heart of Santa Cruz and a short walk to the city’s iconic Pacific Avenue, Hotel Paradox, recently underwent a renovation resulting in an updated arrival experience, more-open floor plan in its Solaire Restaurant + Bar, new guestroom furniture, and additional fire pits and updated cabanas surrounding its pool.

Hotel Paradox invites guests to embrace Santa Cruz from the moment they arrive, welcoming travelers to a front desk made from a reclaimed eucalyptus trees. Guestrooms feature natural forest elements in the décor, including wooden stump tables, reclaimed wood paneling, and river rock shower floors with rain showerheads. The property’s organic, American comfort food-themed Solaire Restaurant + Bar features local and sustainable menu items from Executive Chef Ross McKee, such as fresh-caught seafood and a variety of seasonal dishes, set in an atmosphere that brings the outside in with a multi-angled ceiling adorned with backlit trees and blue sky.
