Homewood Suites Breaks Ground in Arlington

ROSSLYN, Va.—The B.F. Saul Company is adding an upscale, all-suite hotel to its presence in Arlington County, Va. On June 1, partners from Hilton Worldwide, the Commonwealth of Virginia, Arlington County, Donohoe Construction Company, and BB&T joined the B.F. Saul Company in breaking ground on the 168-unit Homewood Suites by Hilton, located at 1900 North Quinn Street in Rosslyn near the Key Bridge. The hotel will welcome its first guests in early spring of 2018.

The new hotel will be built on the site of the former Colony House Furniture Store, a local landmark that served the region’s residents for decades until its closing several years ago. Arlington County officials and staff were thoroughly and thoughtfully involved in the hotel development to ensure that the new hotel will be an ideal addition to Arlington County.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton will offer spacious suites with fully-equipped kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas designed for business and government travelers as well as leisure visitors. Guests of the hotel will enjoy the newest technology, dining facilities, extensive health amenities and two outdoor patio areas as well as a design that maximizes sustainable practices. The location places guests close to Metro access and the many businesses, government facilities, restaurants, and amenities and of Arlington.

“Arlington County provides a wonderful environment for residents, visitors and business owners,” said B.F. Saul II, chairman and CEO. “We are pleased to continue our commitment to Arlington County with this fine hotel.”

The B.F. Saul Company has contracted with Donohoe Construction Company to build the Homewood Suites by Hilton Arlington. Project financing has been provided by BB&T.
