Hard Rock Announces First Hotel in Texas

Hard Rock International announces Hard Rock Hotel Dallas-Fort Worth, located in the newly announced The Grand Alps Village development in Grand Prairie, Texas, future home to the most advanced indoor snow facility in the world. The 300-room, Hard Rock managed hotel will include 86 rooms overlooking the indoor ski facility, a rooftop pool complex, and two Rock Star Suites. Construction is scheduled to begin for the $400 million property in January 2015, and the hotel is projected to open in January 2018.

“We’re looking forward to managing the property and introducing our Hard Rock Hotel brand into the thriving Dallas-Fort Worth area,” said Marco Roca, executive vice president/chief development officer, Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos. “As we look to expand our hotel portfolio, we seek out promising locations and successful partners, and we have achieved that with The Grand Alps development.”

Hard Rock Hotel Dallas-Fort Worth will offer live music performances, a spa, a workout facility, and a variety of food and beverage options on-property and throughout the Grand Alps development. Additionally, the property will offer 50,000 square feet of meeting space, music memorabilia, a Hard Rock merchandise shop, and the brand’s music amenity program.

“Travelers are seeking new adventures and a reprieve from the usual, which is exactly what Hard Rock offers to its guests,” said Sherman Thurston, Co-Chairman of The Grand Alps Resort Group. “A Hard Rock Hotel is the perfect addition to The Grand Alps Village development.”
