Destination Hotels Expands in South Florida with Addition of b2 Miami Downtown

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Destination Hotels continues to grow its collection of upscale urban hotels with the addition of b2 Hotel Miami Downtown. The 242-room property, ideally situated in the heart of downtown Miami in close proximity of the American Airlines Arena and Brickell neighborhood, will be repositioned and relaunched under a new independent identity and brand name in December 2014 under Destination management.

“We feel privileged to be managing one of the newest hotels in Downtown Miami,” said Jamie Sabatier, president and chief operating officer of Destination Hotels. “We are excited for our inaugural partnership with Host Hotels & Resorts and the opportunity to demonstrate our successful management platform in order to create this new lifestyle brand and ultimately drive asset value.”

Located eight miles from Miami International Airport and in the heart of Miami’s business and financial district, b2 Hotel Miami Downtown opened in winter 2013. The hotel features Biscayne Tavern, a gastro tavern by restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow. Additional amenities include 1,000 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center.
