Charlestowne Hotels to Manage Foundry Park Inn

CHARLESTON, S.C.—Charlestowne Hotels has assumed management of Foundry Park Inn and Spa in Athens, Ga.

The Inn joins 24 independent properties out of the 30 currently managed by Charlestowne and is the second property in Georgia to be included in the firm’s portfolio. Management officially began Dec. 1, 2013 and encompasses all aspects of operations, including accounting, marketing, ecommerce, and revenue management.

Located just steps away from downtown Athens and the University of Georgia, the 118 room inn is nestled among historic landmark buildings dating back to the 1830s creating a village setting. The Foundry Park Inn is home to a restaurant and entertainment venue and boasts a full-service spa and four well-appointed ballrooms.

Although the property has been well maintained throughout the years, ownership anticipates remodeling the guestrooms and public spaces mid-year in an effort to enhance the overall guest experience and to provide a more modern aesthetic to the property.

“We are honored to be selected for the management of such an iconic hotel and venue in the Athens area,” states Michael Tall, president and COO of Charlestowne Hotels. “The Inn provides a unique guest experience compared to the many branded hotels in the market, and with the projected capital improvements and a strong focus on service we anticipate nothing less than positive results in the years ahead.”
