U.S. Already Capitalizing on Cuba Tourism Opportunities

    Tomorrow, JetBlue will make the first commercial flight between the United States and Cuba in more than 50 years. It is a step toward a much larger goal of normalizing relations between the two countries and in turn sparking tourism in Cuba. Even though a travel embargo still prevents the average tourist from descending on Cuba without a specific reason, many travel companies are already finding ways to cash in on the destination. Carnival recently became the first U.S. leisure travel company since the 1950s to offer cruise packages to Cuba, while Starwood Hotels & Resorts signed deals with three hotels in Cuba.
